Pain and Suffering.

Tanto tempo fa,
Un uccello fatale di nome,
Chromaggia,
Incrociò in volo la freccia di un,
Arciere,
Lungo le coste di lava,
Per anni, pensando di essere,
Inseguita,
Scappò dalla freccia,
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/s/sarah_brightman/chromaggia.html ]
Chromaggia, Chromaggia,
Perché non affronti il pericolo?
La freccia era legata all'ala,
E lei volva per liberarsene,

Tirando la freccia,
Altri son ferriti per mia colpa,
Mia colpa,

Giú! Verso la bocca del diavolo!
La sua freccia, I miei occhi.

Chromaggia, come take these eyes... !
I would rather be blind!

Her voice rang out across her small garden party, her audience was the small community of wealthy men and ladies who witnessed the blind woman sing with a burning passion, as if each note was to ring true to her suffering. Chromaggia, Chromaggia how the lyrics burned into her deep soul as she remembered 200 years ago how her sister stole the stage, being blind had ruined her life forever, how her sister was always the favoured and she was repulsed wherever she went. Her heart beat rapidly against her chest as she inhaled the cool moonlit air; relishing in the small string quartet aiding her as a harpsichordist trilled up and down over her nimble notes. She lifted her head as her raven locks trickled down her back, her dulled blue eyes gleaming at the full moon above, as the small audience gasped in awe at her perfectly alabaster form, similar to a priceless sculpture, each gentelman and lady wanted to reach out and touch her flawless skin as she reached her high notes. A man with honey blonde hair and light blood pink rose coloured eyes glanced affectionately at her, his face taking a small smile as he watched her breathe in and out. Her notes were beginning to become less and less as her finale finished, her cry to the world of her dispair in the last note, Come take these eyes, her pain and her hatred for her sister and all the creatures of this earth ever since she had first been born, Let Chromaggia take them from me and end my suffering until I had seen what I have done, I would wish to be blind forever.

The man looked at her as she sang her scale down hitting every note on its' exact beat as she reached her last line, The womans' statement to the entire audience. "I would rather be blind". After a moment of silence, the small gathering grew into a loud adoring crowd as the threw red roses around her feet, the man eyeing the woman beginning to stand.

"Camellia, you were wonderful as always."

"My dear, Doctor Todd I am so glad you listened."

"I would never miss your singing for anything in the world my dear, come walk with me and sing once more..."

"If you wish my dear sir, however do not place blame on me if you become enchanted with Chromaggias' spell..."
